Standing Beside Those Who Served

The invisible wounds of service often extend beyond what others can see. For many veterans, the aftermath of trauma and stress can manifest through disordered eating, body image struggles and emotional distress. At Seeds of Hope, we understand that healing from an eating disorder takes courage — the same courage that defines those who have served our country.

Project Resilience, our veteran service line, offers veterans a place to feel understood, supported and safe. Through trauma-informed, compassionate care, we help clients rebuild a relationship with food, their bodies and themselves.

Coming Home to Recovery

Coming home should mean finding peace, but for some veterans, the transition brings emotional turbulence and self-critical thoughts that can intensify disordered eating patterns. Project Resilience at Seeds of Hope provides a nurturing space for veterans to reconnect with their identity and learn healthy ways to cope with stress and trauma.

Recovery here is about more than nourishment — it’s about restoring trust in the body, quieting self-blame and building confidence in daily life. Our clinicians work closely with each veteran to identify triggers, establish structure and strengthen emotional resilience.

Rebuilding Strength and Purpose

In the military, self-discipline and perseverance are essential — yet those same traits can make it hard to acknowledge personal struggles. Project Resilience at Seeds of Hope helps veterans embrace vulnerability as a form of strength.

Our evidence-based therapies and holistic practices support recovery from within, helping clients address the psychological, emotional, and behavioral aspects of eating disorders. Whether a veteran is working through anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder or a related concern, our goal is to help them rediscover balance and meaning through compassionate, individualized treatment.

Programs and Therapies for Veterans

Project Resilience provides a continuum of care designed to meet each veteran’s clinical and emotional needs. Our programs focus on recovery from eating disorders while addressing co-occurring mental health challenges such as anxiety, trauma and depression.
