At Seeds of Hope, we understand that recovering from an eating disorder is a journey that requires structured support while allowing for increased independence. Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is designed for adults who need continued guidance but do not require full-day treatment.

Our goal is to help clients develop coping skills, establish healthy eating habits and build confidence to function successfully outside of a treatment environment.

Program Length & Structure

Our IOP for eating disorders runs Monday-Thursday for two hours and 15 minutes per day. The total length of treatment varies based on each individual’s unique needs and progress.

IOP Treatment Methods

Clients in our IOP program receive a comprehensive mix of therapeutic, nutritional and educational support, including:

  • Group therapy & process groups – Engage in peer support and guided discussions to explore emotions, behaviors and coping strategies
  • Psychoeducation – Gain insight into eating disorder triggers, emotional regulation and self-care techniques
  • Nutrition education & support – Learn how to develop a balanced, sustainable approach to nutrition
  • Meal practice – Receive hands-on meal support to reinforce healthy eating behaviors
  • Medication management (as needed) – Work with professionals to monitor and adjust medication plans for optimal support
  • Evidence-based therapies – Led by clinicians using cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) to build resilience and lasting recovery skills

One day per week, a nutritionist leads the group, focusing on meal planning, mindful eating and nutrition-related concerns. On other days, licensed clinicians guide clients through therapeutic techniques designed to support emotional healing and behavioral change.
